I was watching the preview trailer for the feature-length Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov movie 9 (based off the 10-minute animated short by the amazing Shane Acker) and I was immediately brought back to my old drawing from last year, the war machine: [link] , and to a lesser extent, my cyborg monkeys from forever ago.
Now, because the trailer is sooo amazing, and quite honestly I loved the little connection to my own work (not a rip-off, mind you, just turns out Shane likes robotic animals with real skulls, too) I decided to do another, like piece, but this time with a rat skull.
