Meet the project I worked like a mandman on, and then became my ticket into college ^.^ It's one of a pair (the 2nd still needs fingers, heh I am lazy) but It'l be used as the main parts of my costume for Animazement this year. It's made 100% by me, and my first attempt at metalwork, or any real craft. So boo.

Made using ordinary leather gardening gloves that I got for like, $1.50 for the pair, along with $10 worth of Aluminum roofing and pop rivetts to hold it all together. Superglue, too, given how the fingers are made. GEOMETRIC DOOM I SAY! Yeah, they're made of one flat piece I folded. Sue me. Colored using a combination of black spraypaint and black acrylic. Little dots on the fingers and back of the hand's plate are rubber 'feet' I use at work to put on tiles. Painted those too.

Has fairly good movement, relativly speaking. Only two joints, since it WAS based off the Runaways' Fistigons (comic by Brian K Vaughn- amazing writer) I have full thumb movement, and although It won't make a fist, I can still pick items up, so long as they're not too heavy (such as say, a full glas of juice. >.> Whoops) Still, it's a glove based off a comic book glove where the fingers were thin and robotic. So, I did my best. Google Fistigon or Runaways or Chase to see what It's based off.

So yeah. I may post my next endeavor, the bear claw, assuming I finish it in time. Enjoy everyone. Comments=love
